You're done with the small stuff. You're hungry for what is real. What is true. What is beautiful (even if on the surface it is ugly). The beaten path ran out, and that was a while ago. Genuine fellow travelers seem few and far between. Your Karma ran over your Dogma and the thread to your sanity sometimes feels as if it is running bare. You're ready to reach high, as high as you can, and skirt the edges, too. You want to know what the Old Ones (that would be you, from before) have to say about it. You want to ponder the great realizations of the Alchemists, the Taoists, the Mystics... You're not afraid, you're ravenous for the "more" there is to know. We'll gather to study and experience and ponder together. I'll carry the torch to take you as far up the mountain and into the cave as I've gone... and of course, you'll go further.

Ten years ago, the word "shaman" required explanation to most people. Today it is so common the movie Avatar uses the term to explain the type of feminine spiritual leadership that exists in the tribal community of Pandora. In a world where many, many gifted individuals are waking up to the "worlds beyond the worlds," shamanism offers a great deal of knowledge, wisdom and guidance. The contemporary application in this modern world, however, is becoming more and more critical, and this application is only beginning to emerge. As a practicing contemporary shaman and internationally published author of shamanic fiction, I have traveled the world to learn from indigenous shamans. In this course, we will dive deep into the shamanic worlds, gaining understanding and proficiency in the language of the soul. We will work with intuitive knowing, deciphering dreams and omens, gaining access from spirit guides and more. We will focus on the current energy in the very active and alive field of shamanism. It will be of use to those who 1) seek a greater understanding of the worlds beyond the world, 2) seek to transform their own inner soul and outer life, and/OR 3) already have a complimentary helping or healing practice who would like to use the understanding shamanism provides. Topics will include the shamanic journey, soul loss and recovery, attachments and extraction, walking in two worlds at once, personal transformation, plant spirit medicine, ethics and protection, shamanic tools for healing, and others. NOTE: Those who do not take Session One will need to either have prior experience in shamanism or review previous course material. Please plan to take this course for the remaining of the sessions offered (see Session 3 and 4 dates below) in order to maintain the harmony of the group and dive deep enough to see lasting understanding and healing results.
Online Logistics:
All courses are offered online through your computer at webex.com.. You will be provided a direct link which offers audio and video and you simply log on to join the class. You will need a microphone to participate, but a camera is optional. Each class will be recorded in audio and video and be available for viewing any time of day through the full duration of the course and up to two weeks after. You will also want a facebook account for our discussion groups and to access the homework videos as each of the three courses offered will have their own dedicated discussion group page. Easy, detailed explanations will be provided, and webex.com has excellent 24/7 support for anyone having trouble.
Homework & Videos:
Each course will offer more than the weekly 75 minutes online. We have suggested homework and reading, youtube videos (made by Robin and others), and an online discussion group. You can put in as much or as little as works for you. A "tribe" will form from the class members and this is a richly rewarding part of the course.
Cost:
In order to ensure everyone in any part of the world can attend, the cost for the 5-week session you choose is open for each participant to decide. That said, it is not free (keep in mind that teaching is how I earn my living). How do you decide how much to offer? The idea is for you to offer a true and generous contribution so that the gateway to receiving in your own life is also open. At the same time, you should not offer more than you can truly afford, so that worry is not engaged, or more than you feel it is worth so that regret is not engaged. I suggest that you tune in to "hear" how much to offer. Payment must be received prior to the start of the 5-week session via paypal (accepts credit cards) or by personal check.
Download Option:
It is possible to download the course video at time other than the meeting time and still participate in the discussion groups. This is offered to those from whom the meeting time conflicts with time zone or other issues. However, if you choose this option, when you register please let me know you are planning on not being present for the online class in real time (so we don't look for you).
To Register For Session 2 (March 1-31):
Course size is limited to 10 to ensure time for each person to participate, so please register early. To register for Session Two, send an email with the following to Robin@BeWhoYouAre.com (NOT via facebook): Your name, email, course title and time, the amount you plan to pay, and something about your interest (only if I have not already worked with you). Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
Next Sessions:
We are currently in the middle of Session One, and registering for Session Two. Each class will continue through the Winter/Spring. You can take one 5-week session or all of them. Registration is open for Session Two only at this time.
